I first stumbled upon The Goat in Clapham several years ago and was taken by its quirky lighting and extensive gallery of, er, goat paintings.
Back in this Clapham gastropub once more not much has changed, but the menu looks even better.
Substantial mains are backed up by tempting bar snacks. Salt & pepper squid with lime mayo anyone? Or quails scotched eggs with piccalilli.
Accompanied by a wide selection of craft beers and lagers (Odell, Cut Throat Porter, Kozel and Flying Dog Old Scratch, to name a few) and a meaty wine list, The Goat is a pretty damn good place to be.
