Can’t get into Copenhagen’s Noma. Try Fiskebaren instead.
Arguable one of the cities hottest restaurants, it’s run by a former Noma protégé and is a foody favourite.
Situated in the city’s uber-cool meat packing district, Vesterbro, nestled between hip bars, boxing gyms, boutique art galleries and, you guessed it, meat packing joints, it’ll be worth the hunt. And the short (yet tricky) trip from the city centre – we walked passed it three times!
Fiskebaren, or the fish bar, strives to serve fresh, healthy, delicious food. As the name suggests, seafood features heavily on the menu and there’s a good selection of wines to boot.
Not cheap, but worth splashing out for great Danish seafood with an innovative twist.
